Never. The last guy that did that is still serving his 6-8 yrs in Folsum.

You shouldn't be able to remove a gasket anyway if it was "glued" correctly. Buy a new set, they're only $14-16.

Do it right once. Or do it wrong, twice.

It depends

I only use Fel-pro gaskets for two reasons

1- I can reuse them if they're in good condition
2- they are good quality

I never use cheap intake, head and exhaust gaskets

Now prep is the key, spend a long time cleaning up the areas, clean up the bolts and threads in the head. A new gasket won't fix bad prep or warped mating surfaces. Once cleaned up mock up the intake, make sure the bolt holes line up properly. Use decent sealant, on the bolt threads too, put a straight edge across the surfaces, take your time.

If the gaskets came off cleanly and appear like new then go ahead and reuse them, I have done this countless times with intake and head gaskets.

I think most people telling you not to probably haven't reused any so are not basing it on experience. Necessity is the mother of invention, if you're nowhere near a shop then reuse what you have if it's in good condition. I'm in England and it's not that easy/quick getting parts, and they are expensive when you do find them so this incourages you to find solutions.

I reused a pair of Fel-Pro head gaskets on my '51 Stude SBC build, everyone was telling me not to. The car ran 13.4 the other week and will go high 12's with a cam swap. I've had a starter and an alternator go in that time, no issues with head gaskets ever.

You're the only one who can judge if a gasket is reusable, don't take too much notice of what other people say including me.

Good luck
