Yeah that 75w90 will cover a broad range of applications. Mobil1 is good stuff. Ide dump it in there without a worry. By no means am I an expert at this though. Kick back and see if someone else may caution you. I doubt it will happen though.
Just a warning to guys with modern overdrive transmissions. They do not use gear oil. They use automatic transmission fluid and if you make a mistake and install gear oil kiss the trany good bye.
They have small needle bears that are not lubed if gear oil is used.

Re: Tranny Gear Oil (Troublemaker 71)
The drain and fill plug are both located on the passengers side of the tranny. The lower one is the drain plug. The top is the fill plug. You can pull the top plug to aid in draining. Refill through the top plug. Refill to the top plug like at the rear diff.
The owners manual tells you to use SAE 80 or SAE 80-90 Multi purpose gear lube. I had used the Synthetic 75-90 in my M-21 and had problems down shifting. The gear oil has to be heavy enough to slow down the gears for the shift. I went back to the old standard 80-90 and it took the problems away. Stick with what works.
ps: I did use the synthetic gear oil in the diff and it works great. I use Castrol products and I did check with their tech department and they said to use regular gear oil for the trans and synthetic for the diff.
