I've installed my custom reworked hood hinges to drop the front edge of my hood fluch with the front surround. Now I need to slightly raise the drivers side rear corner of the hood in order to get it flush with the fender. How do the hood pins adjust where the hood latches catch on it? Is it just a matter of using a large straight blade screwdriver to turn the post, or is there a jam-nut type lock? I looked through the factory manual but found nothing specific.

Yes, but first you must loosen the locknut thingymabob at the base of the peckerlike thingy. i use a screwdriver and a hammer. (together). A gentle tap of hammer on screwdriver should release the nut.... from the --- oh, never mind! :smash: MJ

This thingymabob you so eloquently describe :D Is it the lower spring retainer thing with 4 "tabs" on it? Does it work like a jam nut on the threaded shaft? I assume that it's just a matter of loosening the retainer, then turning the head of the catch post until the hood sits flush.....

Yes, I think you've got it figured out! I just place the screwdriver on one of the tabs and tap it with a hammer to break it loose and turn it counterclockwise. Without doing this, any attempt at inserting the screwdriver into the peckerlike head and turning it will be futile! MJ
