l48 engine needed

Nevertheless, I had (and still have) real L-82 badges on my hood. And these flat out scare the crap out of every squirrel I encounter.
You cannot buy a crate L-48 or L-82. If you think your engine is not original, and you desire this, you can try to find a block or complete assembly from a donor Corvette. Most likely, you'll have to rebuild it, with original parts (intake, low compression pistons, etc.) to truly achieve that L-48 feeling. You know, the one I bragged about (to no one) and eventually cost me thousands to exorcise from my engine compartment.
My advice, is to enjoy your car. If you're afraid it's not a numbers matching ride, I would not sweat it. Few will notice or care. However, if this inconsistency of build numbers drives you nuts, knock yourself out. There are more than enough resources out there to help you with this pursuit.
Good Luck!

The RPO codes can be tough. The sheet that list the options for your car may have been put, behind the dash, under the seat, glued to the top of the gas tank (common & sometimes difficult to get to and get off), or somewhere else. That sheet is the only way you can really tell what options your car came with.
If you looking to find out how original your car is, there are a lot of factors to consider. I suggest you do a search on "matching numbers" and maybe even visit the NCRS Web site. Both will give you clues as to ways to find out a lot about your car.
Sorry, I can't help with the spoiler, mine's quite diferent. Someone else should be able to. If you're going to be working on your car yourself, I would definitely recommend the Assembly Instruction Manual (AIM) for your year. It's loaded with very detailed drawings on your entire car.
Good Luck & Welcome :seeya

How did you get your peak HP below your peak tq? that's impossible!
If you make 192 hp @ 3400 rpm, you should have 125 rwhp @ 3400 rpm as well.

PS I never knew the L-48 could be so bad... my LM-1 "feels" the same powerwise as the L-48, and probably makes 175 rwhp at least... (I think it made something like that on one of my G-tech runs.)
