Default Replacement for Harrison Aluminum Radiators

Hello, I have already read MANY threads on this subject but was hoping to gain some more direct feedback on the subject. I have already narrowed my search down to DeWitts radiator based on most of the threads I have read, just trying to decide which is best. I have a completely stock and original 72 base corvette manual transmission 350 small block with correct original harrison aluminum radiator. I have recently pulled the motor for a rebuild at a local machine shop. Everything external on the motor will remain original, but inside will be mildly boosted with valve work, flat top pistons, and an Xtreme Energy 262 cam. We expect around 300 hp. My car always ran warm in the summer (south carolina) around 225 deg with 180 thermostat. All rad seals are in place and in good shape. So with the motor out I took radiator out to a local shop who pressure tested it-no leaks, then performed a flush a said it was full of rust and scaling, after flush pressure check then revealed tons of small pin hole leaks...he said it was shot. So, I see on DeWitts website it says that the direct fit aluminum radiator actually has less cooling capability than the original...which in my case was already running warm (but maybe due to build up inside?) and I see they also offer exact original reproduction....which way should I go considering the mild upgrades to motor? Does the direct fit replacement unit (roughly $600 I believe) normally cool sufficient for people in the 300 hp range? Or do I need to spend the roughly $1000 plus for the exact reproduction of the harrison? Thank you in advance

If you run stock mech fan, and your climate isnt too hot the dewitts direct should cool you,

However,
Why not call dewitts ask them, if they tell you it will cool you it likely will and if it doesnt they will likely make it right with you, or should.

If you went with the HP version (1.25" two row) of the Direct Fit line you will actually be at the same 4600btu/min rating of the correct $1000 radiator. So if you want the cooling but not the expense go with this one

1149063M (Natural/man) $659.99

if you want it Black Ice Coated

1249063M (Natural/man) $719.99

I'd go the 2nd option and put the stock stickers on it and nobody will be the wiser. (except crazy ncrs people)
