Default IT NEVER ENDS!!

As if my last post wasn't enough
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=404805

(keep in mind car is to be complete by Friday (headlight switch due in Tuesday and drop off at painter for touch-up Thursday) I found this on my brand new $675.00 door panels.

(3" rip on top)

on brand new panels! Wasn't there last week when I cleaned the interior?? Here's the whole panel

WTF????!!!
I will call Pacifica tommmorow and demand a new replacement. I rarely dealt with Pacifica most orders via Ecklers but Pacifica had the best price, $50 cheaper if I recall. What the heck?

Your pictures are large so it is hard to see but I have some experience with Pacifica and guess what I bought from him - door panels. Same deal was cheaper. Anyway, the drivers side panel fit like s#$% . So I called him (I say him as he sounded like the owner.) I got a sob story of how they had made next to nothing on the panels and that door panels can be a really difficult job to do they never fit right, etc. He was going to get back to me etc... I noticed that the panels were from Corvette America so I called them. According to them, they never heard of this guy and he is not one of their dealers etc... Well he never did call me back and I got busy and never did get back to that panel for months. When I did, I cut tons of plastic off the back and got it to fit ok, but not great. The other side was better. Anyway, I have since ordered "not quite perfect" stuff from Corvette America. There can be a small hole or imperfection but you know that up front and it can be returned. I have NO EVIDENCE of any shenanigans but I wonder????

Everytime I try to save money or cut corners I end up paying double. Not too happy with quality of panels anyway. chrome strip has defects and the drivers door panel needed modifications to work around the door lock.
I'm going to press on this one however $675.00 /2 = $338.00 going to fuss, "the sqeaky wheel always gets the grease"

I looked at Mid America's door panels and they also come from C.A. so it's not Pacifica's fault, but C.A.
