Congrats and well done and nice pix !! But why work alone and have ALL the fun. For air fare and beer I would come over, sit and watch you work and offer free advice !! Keep me in mind.
PS- I forgot to mention I would need pretzels.
I have no idea where Gilbert is but if you run into some problems that you need help with give me a call. If you're not too far away from Phoenix I'll help. Just gotta let me drive her once when she's done. :D

Transmission question; How did you disconnect the tranny, is it still in the car? when you loosen the bolts were all accessable from the top or you have to jack the car up and loosen it?
STEVO81, you can come over anytime, I will have cold beer for you.......
TOMINATOR- I pulled the trans on Sat since it is easier to pull the motor without the trans. I have done it a couple times before, so it was easy. Just loosened up the trans bolts after taking the crossmember off and driveshaft.....Once the trans was out, I took the bellhousing and clutch out on Sun am and then the motor in the pm..... EASY job since I have side exhaust...
Desertdawg--- I will let you guys know on that..... Thanks!
DMONSVETTE- Thanks from the mainland!!!
1970STINGRAY- I painted the garage floor before I moved in, so I was able to mop up the grease/antifreeze with NO problem!!!! How is your project going????
COLIN- Thanks for the offer. Gilbert is in the East Valley bordering Mesa.. I will keep your #....
COREY68- Thanks. I will keep the pictures coming...... What about your swap? Are you happy with the progress so far?
PATSNITROVETTE- Thanks for the good words! I hope to get this thing running in the next few weeks. I plan to clean up the engine compartment the best I can before painting. I will then drop the motor in and slowly assemble everything (like Steve Straus, Bence, 467Ratman, 1970Stingray, and Corey68 are doing with their Mouse motor to BB swaps!)
I would like to do a webpage on everyone who has done a mouse motor to a BB swap in their C3..... My page will be done once this motor is running, so I will put up a posting on it.....

Very, Very Slooowwwly. Between arguing with my wife(re: Corvette parts) and running my teenagers to all their activities, I have very little "Vette" time. I'm currently in the process of measuring the clearane of the main & rod bearings.
Here's some pics: http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/the...t/index9.shtml
I'm pumped though, I ran Cross Country in High School and College and now my daughter may qualify for the State finals here! (as a high school freshman)

If it's any consolation, Chuck, I plan on keeping a small block in my 78 forever.
Maybe I'll do a 400 when rolling exemption comes around...
I'm saving the "special" motor for a 69 or something. Maybe I'll let you drive it when it's done. :) Ohhhhh, graduating college and getting a good job has never tasted so good. 700 hp or bust.
-Steve(Who can predict the future ten years from now. My "special" motor is going to make my heart stop.)
*edit* P.S. I love seeing all the big blocks coming out of the woodwork. No LS1 can compare to even a mild bb! Les's 69 idles smooth and has very mild work done to it, and posted dyno numbers that would make a 2002 Z06 quiver.
