Best Restoration manuals?
Start with an Assembly Instruction Manual that you can get from any of the catalog vendors. Get a Helms Shop Manual, written for GM shops. They are year-specific. Your GM dealer can order them, or you can find one on E-Bay sometimes. Then there are numerous "How to Restore and Repair..." type books. The Helms manual and the A.I.M. are the most important, IMHO.
Good timing. I just bought the 'How to restore & modify your corvette - 1968-1982.
Good information.

for a 69 and depending on the degree of restoration you seek...the best book (out of print but still available) is called "69 Stingray Guidebook." Try corvette Central and other Corvette vendors. Pricey but worth it if you're doing restoration work.

Even if originality isn't your concern, the NCRS Technical Manual and Judging Guide 68-69 is also an EXCELLENT tool. Doesn't get into repair, etc., but goes extensively into what's correct...original....what was originally there...how was the car originally equipped, etc. Available from NCRS. Go to http://www.ncrs.org Point and click your way to "The Store". Chuck

Try "Chevrolet Corvette Restoration Guide" by Lindsay Porter (Motorbooks International). Don't be put off by the cover showing a 67 convertible and a C4, the project car is a 69 BB convertible.
Here's a source not only for manuals, but other related books as well. http://www.factoryautomanuals.com
