Default '76 THM 350 Bolt Question

Can anyone tell me if all the bolts holding the transmission oil pan to the trans should be the same diameter/thread/length? What should they be? Any suggestion how I could find out?
Thanks

They are the same thread and diameter, but the two holding on the little bracket for the cable (it's obvious when you look) are a quarter inch longer.

Thanks Shwee,

Do you know the diameter and pitch of the bolts? Where did you get your information?

I dropped the pan to replace the filter and one of the two bolts holding that shift cable bracket on was loose. It looked to me that it was undersized for the hole or a previous owner stripped out the threads. I am looking for accurate information on which bolts go where and thier size so I can determine what SHOULD be there and then decide if I need to retap, helicoil, etc. I have digital pics I can Email to you but there isn't much you can tell from them.

All bolts are the same size and thread (1/4-20? -- not exactly sure). Only the length differs on the shift bracket bolts -- I saw this myself when my tranny was swapped out recently. So your helicoil should be the same size as any of the other bolts...

Sounds like Bubba did the previous tranny filter change :smash:
