Hi,

Does someone installed a NOS kit in Corvette C3 1974 and which kit would you recommend to me.

Thanks

The Edelbrock nitrous kits are very good and have a safe tune built in them. The key is to make sure you have enough fuel pump to run the motor and the nitrous kit. Depending on how big of a hit you go you may or may not need to remove any timing. I had The RPM performer kit on my Camaro, i had enough fuel pump and a crane ignition box to take care of the timing retard was set up on demand with a microswitch on the carb.I took out 8 degrees for the 150 hit and 12 degrees timing for the 250 hit. I think the NOS kits say for 100 shot you dont need to remove any timing? each kit is different, and depending if you have cast or forged pistons etc. Do lots of research call a few nitrous companies tech line and ask lots of questions.

I have ran many giggle gas set ups on my vehicles .If you are running stock internals ,to be safe stick with a 125 kit or less .
And only do a wet kit .That shoots a tad of fuel at same time it shoots the gas to give you a richer mix ,and safer mix .
If you are running a carb there are many under carb plate set ups that work great. Edelbrook has a great setup .Make sure you don't spray unless you are at WOT .

And make sure you have enough fuel system to maintain 5-6 psi while FLOWING....(fuel solenoid open).. That is what hurts most motors on spray, they lean out due to a sub par fuel system and measuring the fuel pressure dead headed against a closed solenoid.

If you are running a manual fuel pump ,you might want to think about using a separate little tank that is about 1/2 gal. with an electric pump to put fuel in .That way you can use race fuel for better mix .

fwiw, my collector car insurance said Blower OK, Nitrous not OK so I pulled the system off and sold it. May want to verify so you don't get denied a claim should you need to.
American Collector Car Insurance is mine.
