Default Vortec Head Rocker Arms Recommendations

I have recently gotten my newly built 383 stroker installed and almost broken in and now I'm wanting to upgrade my stock stamped steel vortec self guided rocker arms. I would like your input on a replacement set. I still have center bolt valve covers so the narrow variety will be needed. I don't need anything elaborate or expensive but I don't want a new stamped set either. A true 1.5 or 1.52 will be fine as well. Thanks!

If you change to non-self aligning you will need to add guide plates. I use self aligning Comp roller tip rockers ( I guess they are stamped ) on Vortec heads. They work with the stock center bolt valve covers. I'm using 1.52 ratio now. I was using 1.6s with my previous cam. The heads have to be reworked for pushrod clearance with them however.

I wont be changing to non-self aligning and the enlarging of the pushrod hole is the reason I am not opting for 1.6. I don't want to pull the heads. Are the Comp rockers you refer to 1417's ? Thanks!

The Comp 1417 is what I have also with the (Summit) vortec heads. Seem to be fine.
