First, I have the T-56 six speed out of a 97 camaro. I was pondering getting a freshly turned aluminum flywheel. What does everybody think. Would I need a different clutch/pp? Second. Someone said in another post to put ATF in the new overdrive transmissions. Is that correct? Should I fill it with ATF (I am going to use synthetic oils in everything once the motor is broken in)? Thanks. One thing I forgot, I have an external balance motor, so would I need to rebalance it to this flywheel? Maybe then I will put in the forged rods too :)

Try these guys http://www.speedautomotive.com/ There is/was a waiting list, though. I also bought a dual electric fan setup and some other goodies from them (just couldn't resist when I had the credit card out :smash: )
was the t-56 hard to install in the vette? did you have to do a bunch of custom crap? im looking at this conversion, but so few people have done it, there are very few resources. i have 79 auto car, which i believe to have a diffrent crossmember than 80. any help you can give would be great. sorry to go OT on your thread.
Yes, there is quite a bit of custom to install a GM t56. The hardest part is the clutch pedal. My car was an auto, so there is no pedal. I had to get the pedal/bracket all fabricated. The worst part about it was laying under the dash while I measured things. Good luck, go here http://www.smokemup.com and check out some rear end gear combos, your mouth will water. 4.55 and 2000 rpm at 70 with 255 60 15's
