Default Test pipe for 82

Where do I find a test pipe for an 82. Looked everywhere I know and cant find one. Don't want to go to the trouble of gutting the existing cat if I can help it. If going to go to the effort of removing the cat, might as well go all the way and just get a test pipe.

what are TX emissions laws like? I know Jersey no longer even bothers to inspect anything older than 96 OBD2.

Test pipes are illegal. A muffler shop probably won't fool with one.

Sounds like an excuse for a welder and some hands on learning.

Here in sd you can buy various lengths and sizes of pipe at the auto parts store.
at the muffler shop if they have issue with it then it's for you John deer.

Have a high flow catco cat already. Have read elsewhere that original cats allowed about 35% airflow and high flow ones allow 95% airflow. Have decided not worth the effort to punch one out or source a test pipe. Really just wanted to get rid of the tubing down to the cat. Can just cut it off leaving enough extending to plug and be done.

I have one currently sitting on the shelf gathering dust that I used last year on my 76 L-48. I will be happy to let you have it for free if you pick up the shipping. Let me know what you think.
