Muncie 4-speed leaking
I've not been under the car yet but I'm pretty sure my shifter shaft seals and maybe even the rear seal is leaking a bit. Has anyone replaced them without pulling the transmission? I don't really want to pull it at this time.

The seals can be replaced with the transmission still in the car. The easiest way is to remove the shifter plate so you can work on it out in the open.

Muncie Seal Leak
Tip: When replacing the shifter plate seals, use a 17mm socket to gently seat them with a hammer. The socket covers the brass outer ring. On the rear seal, I used a bearing seating tool to cover the seal and get complete coverage of the seal so you can again gently use a hammer to seat it. I also used permatex around the outside of the seals to ensure no fluid leaks.

Sorry 1971. I went under there yesterday and wiped down everything. It's not as bad as I thought but both shifter shaft and rear seal are leaking a bit. It's just accumulated on the cross-member over the past year and a half since it's been my daily driver. I'm just getting a small 10mm size drip every few days or so. I'll get a seal kit and go from there. Thanks everyone.
