Forum: I noticed that some members prefer one shock over another for its amount of dampening.
Is it possible to have the shocks rebuilt for more or less dampening?
That way we don' have to buy new shocks?
I have some miles on mine and would like a little more dampening.
Any experience out there?

Yes. Bilstein and a few 3rd parties offer rebuild and revalving services. Google it. The cost is about the same as buying new but you will get the valving you want.

Dyna: I think I will be trying the rebuilding services.
I think any shock after enough miles needs servicing.
Getting the dampening to match the spring rate sounds like a big improvement over guessing?
