Default Recommend after market manifold?

I'm thinking of switching out my 3x2 manifold for a four barrel manifold on my 1969 Vette. Can anyone recommend a manifold that will fit under my stock, low profile 427 hood?

Torker 11 is the only 'performance' inlet that will fit under stock BB hood. I say 'performance' inlet in inverted comma's as you'll find few people who consider it a performance manifold compared with other current choices - however these will not fit under BB hood......so where do you do with this? - I'd have thought that keeping the 3 x 2 no's was the best thing?

The old LS6 manifold will fit. My car had one on it when I bought it with the stock big block hood. It was used on the 71 Corvette LS6. It is a square port manifold however, and you have oval ports. May work ok. Here is a link to one for sale. Works good for what it is.

I've had this car for a little over 30 years now, and every time I take it out, I have to check for leaks, be it fuel lines or front bowls. There is nothing more iconic than to lift the hood and see that air cleaner sitting on top of three duces. If I were to switch over, I just want to know what manifold would fit under the hood.

The Edelbrock "Torquer" intakes are intended for high rpm use and will give up a lot of low end torque.

I used the LS6 when I built the 496. Make sure to use the LS6 gasket.

You may also need a spacer under the carb.

Thanks for all the great replies. I'm in no hurry to change out the 3x2's, but it's nice to know what will fit under the hood.

The really cool (but expensive) solution would be to convert to fuel injection. There are a couple of companies the make 3x2 throttle body systems.
