Default T/T steering column upper bearing issue

I replaced (or trying to) the 2 upper bearings in the column. Now when I put it together it binds up. Pulled it apart and the bearing races are almost a press fit to the ID of the bearing. They fit fine before I installed them. This is the second set that did the same thing. What can I be doing wrong just pressing the bearing into the housing?

I assume that you are working on a Tilt & Telescoping Steering Column.

I think your problem is described on page #7.

Yep, that was my problem. I had the bearings in upside down.
Thanks Jim.
