lifting body off the frame info?????
i am thinking about taking the body off the frame to have the body painted and to replace body mounts and was just wondering what all is involved in this deal,i know i can figure it out fast but would like to know what i am getting into and i would like to know how heavy the body actually is when it is off so all info or tips would be greatly appreiated :confused:

Body is not all that heavy without the seats, doors, and steering wheel. I would paint the body after you put it back on the frame. Someone here has a list of what to do step by step.

The body isn't really heavy, you just have to make sure to support it in the right areas so the windshields don't crack. I have straps holding the front wheel wells, under the seats, and a board under the back wheel wells.
Working on the car with the body of is 100 times easier. Plus, you can make sure you get all of the rust off the frame, and paint everything up nice. Goodluck!
