What to take with me???
Hey everyone
There is a nice chap, who sells a very large amount of pieces from his workplace...
It's are all C3 and C4 parts.
And beleive me it's very cheap! (Free engine blocks and other parts, interior parts for 2$!, complete seats for 5$, ...!!!)
My question is: What do I certainly have to 'take' with me? Which parts are very 'expensive' or hard to get? Interior and expecialy engine/tech parts?
I know a lot of the price/rarity of the interior parts. But I don't know anything about price/rarity of engine stuff.
What should I 'take' with me? What should I seek after?

That is too broad a question to answer. Would need part years and a parts listing of what he has to really answer.
For example, a free used up 1977 L48 block is worth just about free. A free '69 427 block has real dollar value. A C4 ZF trans has real $ value, a used up DN 4+3 is worth about a sandwhich.

There were some complete engine's (without filter and carburator).
Also spare blocks
Which 'serial numbers' do I have to look for (rare or middle to very expensive stuff)?

Again, it is not really possible to answer for a 15 year run of cars and hundred of possible unknown parts he has laying in a pile. Take your laptop/phone with you and check ebay completed auctions to see the value of parts you find. Google engine block stamp pad suffixes as you find them.
Generally speaking the older the part the more valuable, not necessarily though and not true for all parts.

Short of a list and/or part numbers, if you can post a few pictures of what he has, undoubtedly someone here will recognize items considered must take items and why. This would probably get you the most useful information in the shortest amount of time.
Believe it or not, some of the hardest items to find for C4's are some of the electrical components. Many switches changed quickly and finding useful replacements can be near impossible. A lot of them have been discontinued for years and about all you can do is try to find a used one that is still functional. A used power seat switch on the late C3's and early C4's can run over $100 (when you can find one) and finding an NOS switch is near impossible.
Good luck... GUSTO

what parts are you needing to complete your work??? or are you just buying parts to resell? don't understand what you are really asking? one man's valuable part is another man's junk etc.

. This is one man's pile of junk,,,, What you need to take with you is the largest truck and trailer, and the biggest wad of cash you have, make a offer on the whole lot and then piece through it at your pace, then you can turn it into the valuable lot of parts you think he has,
. Good advice in the other posts too, make it a fun project to do, or don't waste your time,

Any late 60's early seventies fuel vapor canisters.
Late 60's early 70's quadrajet carbs.
Same era shock absorbers. Restorerers paying good money for date coded shells.

Buy it all, sort it out, keep what you need and sell the rest in fleebay. You will probably get ahead at the end. You need money now and have patience and time to recoup your money hopefully with a hefty profit.
