I went to a cruise-in last nite in another city north of me, I took the 77 just for fun.... Had a good couple hours of car chit-chat then it's time to leave, 8pm Dark......Car leave's out fine, travel about 10 miles and it starts to bog down and a few back fires'.. Oh Oh....
Feels like it's starving for fuel, and then choking on it when it gets a spurt....
so I make a turn off the highway onto a 2 lane hoping to make it home....
Nope, 1/4 mile down this country road, it dies..... pulled off onto a cornfield and start searching for my cell phone in the dark...... Try to re-start several time's, turn, turn, turn... no juice...... so I get ahould of my wife to come get me with the tow chain..... she call's the township police to check on me... Here they come, all the lights flashing, spot lights blinding me out in this cold, dark cornfield.... :lol: Here come a Female Police officer with a big flash light and a tool box
:cheers: so here I am all under the hood, messing with stuff but still can't get it to fire... !/2 hour later my wife show's up with the truck and a log chain.... Hook it up and away we go.... Complete with Rear Police Back-up all the way home... Light's a flashing.... How cool is that ???

anyway, it's in the garage and I'll report later with what went out.... What a night....

 

That sucks! :( I think every one of us at some time are gonna be faced with that eventually (and probably repeatedly:D )

Hope things turn out to be minor... just be glad you weren't cruising cross-country!:yesnod:

Nice Vette :yesnod: This past week I went to a car show and my car wouldn't start when I was getting ready to leave :bb The neutral safety switch decided to go out on me for the second time :mad Had to jump the starter with a screw driver in public :lol: Oh well, when I got home I done some quick wiring and bypassed the neutral safety switch. Say goodbye to that problem. Hopefully yours with be that easy to fix :smash:

That was nice of them. The last time I tried to get help from the cops they gave me a look like " Ya right" :troll

 

had that happen to me a couple days ago,,it just had to happen in front of a large group of people,,,,,of all places Meclenburg county jail,,,right in front at shift change........im still catching hel- from the jail people.. :rolleyes: ,,,my MSD went out,,,,,and for those that dont know,,,,like myself 4 days ago,,,,if you do any welding on your car,disconnect the MSD before you start your tack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
