I'm trying to diagnose a turn signal issue. It's near impossible when the wire colors don't match up. I can't find an image of a turn signal switch online that matches the one I have. Has anyone seen a switch with these wire colors?
Your wires look to be correct on both the signal connector and on the body harness, what is the issue?
No left or right turn signals. Brake lights work, tail lights work. This a restoration, so all my wiring is exposed and the dash harness is only partially installed. Blinker unit is installed on passenger side of wire harness. Next step is to check the purple wire for 12v.
Found my problem. I was testing the electrical system using a battery charger at 2 amps. Wasn't enough current to run the turn signals. Cranked it up to 15 amps and the turn signals work.
