I just replaced the AC Condenser on 1975 Corvette. I want to vacuum the system down to make sure their are no leaks. The system was charged with 134a and worked good for the last couple years. The high pressure valve by the site glass has a red cap and a black cap on the low pressure on the VIR. Problem is their is not enough clearance between it and the heater housing. Same problem when it’s charged later.
Question is can you use the blue fitting on the back of the hose block on the rear of the compressor (old air compressor) to vacuum the system and later recharge. Who ever charged the system did not leave 134 quick connect fittings on the valves so it’s difficult to know what they did.
Any suggestions?

Just checked and found 7/16 quick connect on hose block on compressor and 9/16 quick fitting on window block. That must be how they are charging the system?
