Default Noise

I just got my car back from a transmission rebuild and on a cold start I hear this noise.

What is the world is it.

Yup...bad bearing motor......blower fan?

The 2 main sounds out of the transmission are usually the torque converter or transmission fluid pump

Yep. Blower motor. And the tranny shop didn't do it. Time did! Waste of time trying to get your time back. I already tried!!

Fellas, I took apart the console and checked my wires. the sound is gone. I talked to the shop and was told that 1980-1981s have two relays in the console. He said one would be related to the choke of the carburetor and the other I forgot. All I know is that the sound is gone and she drives fine ((shrugs))

Don't worry it'll be back. A dry bearing/bushing will make it's noise again.

Relays click, clatter or buzz but they do not squeal or howl like a dry bearing.
