Corvette Power Antenna

Corvette Power Antenna
I have a 1980 Corvette and was looking for a power antenna relay. Is it true that they have been discontinued? How do I get one and what do I do to get my power antenna working without the relay? Also need a wireing diagram for the same car of the console to the power antenna.

you are asking quite a few questions, how long have you had your corvette?
replacement antennas are buyable, they may not be the exact copy, therefore you may have to do some modifying, or ask corvette junk yards for a take off of an another car. They can be rebuilt, some of the forum members can do that. Go to parts section and put an ad in for all of this. Can yours be rebuilt??? what is wrong with it??? I added a motorized antenna to my 76(not available in 76), did away with the standard one(hard to use with a car cover).

Why do you think it's the relay?
Usually it's the nylon cable within the antenna that breaks. Can you pull it up by hand?
I have an nos 78-79 relay available for $35 shipped. Basically same as 80-82 except the housing.
Or go on ebay and search GM antenna relay and purchase one for any 78-82 GM car. Swap the housing with your existing relay.

Pic shows location for 78-79 under the console but you can see the wires. 80-82 is in the jack compartment.
Green/White/Gray goes to the antenna. Orange is constant hot, yellow is the trigger wire from the radio that tells it to go up and down. Black is ground.
