Could it be thermostat?
The 81 keeps running too hot...225 ? altho I don't trust the guages...
but with newly rebuilt block, new hoses, new pump, radiator looks OK...
put new thermostat into water on the stove...the 180 did not open at 180, 190, 200, or 210...and I couldn't get the wotter hotter !! Thanks NAPA
