I have a 1979 and can not remember how to hook up the wires that I believe go to the alternator. From the driver side of the car I have the wires in the photos below. They line up next to the alternator. Appreciate any help.
The black one with the ring goes to a bolt in the back side of the alternator, look for a threaded hole, hose support bracket also attaches here.
Red with big boot on it goes to an insulated stud on the back side, look for I believe a red insulator at the base of the stud.
2 wire connector goes into the top(if alternator is clocked correctly).
Green with connector is for water temp gauge between left side first and second spark plugs.
That short connector is for under hood light.
