77 Idle?
I have a 77 with approximately 50K miles, auto transmission. I spent pretty much 5 years off and on cleaning the frame up after I bought it. Tore everything out from the end of the transmission back and all steering and suspension. Put 4 coats of paint on the frame and all the parts I removed at that time and acoat of cosmolene. Re-assembled everything then. It's set for pretty much the last 25 years while I was busy with life. Retired now and would like to get it back in shape. I'm a retired steel mill machinist. Motor is all original except for headers. I can get it running but it barely wants to idle. I've been checking the vacuum lines most seem OK. I'm thinkin it needs a carb rebuild. When I do get it to barely idle after it warms up and I put it in either reverse or drive it wants to stall even more. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Is the tank clean, new gas and clear or new sock?
Hard lines clear?
Special "S" hose from hard line to pump good?
New fuel filter in the carburetor?
Fuel pump producing 6 pounds pressure?
