Default Blinker Problems

I have a 1978 Corvette Pace Car, and I finished replacing the turn signal switch in the steering column. I then noticed when testing the blinkers it would blink for a few seconds and then go solid and then start blinking again. Now they are just not blinking they are solid all the time, but the hazards still blink continuously. I just replaced the hazard flasher, but it is still doing the same thing. All of the bulbs are relatively new so I dont know where to go from here. If anyone can point me in the right direction that will be greatly appreciated.

There are 2 flashers. One for hazards, and one for blinkers. I think the A.I.M. shows where they are located.

clean the bulb sockets all real good. A fiberglass pen works good or emery cloth. You can spray with contact cleaner. When indicator on steady usually lost connection to bulb.
