exhaust manifold BB question
Folks, bought 71 454, is there a smog pump on 71 that goes to exhaust
manifold, no exhaust of car now, want to put headers bur worried about
inspection, Thanks Mike.

I just put pre smog cast manifolds on my 454 ,unless you are wanting to run your motor high up in the rev range extractors won't make much difference . With the BB motor taking up more room in the engine bay I found the cast manifolds very good, the shorty block hugger headers would also be similar to the factory cast manifolds
