Default Corvette C3 1978 Exhaust System

Hello,

I'm searching an complete dual Exhaust System, Headers, Pipes and Mufflers for my 1978 Corvette. The Engine is a 350 cui with 330 HP. I like it shiny but silver coated is also all right, what can you recommend me? and what is better, Huggers or full lenght Headers?

Greetings from germany, John

I don't know which style header is better but I can tell you that ceramic coating is a must and the only way to go. There's nothing more aggravating than installing black coated headers and have them turn to rust in a year. Looks terrible. Spend the extra money for the quality coating. And some research has shown ceramic removes the extra heat in a C3 engine bay.

Look for thick gauge steel tubes, thick gauge flanges.
I like the mid length style headers because I believe they are better for street torque, so to speak, and I can bolt on dumps, which are easy to open when the need arises.

Long tube headers have been great for me, even on a pretty much stock L-48. More power everywhere.

Thanks for your advice, the middle or full length is the best, not the huggers.

Pretty cool, I like short headers. Do you know, why this, https://www.holley.com/products/exha.../parts/2200HKR, don't fit on Corvettes? For me are both the same.
