Hood won't latch
I just bought a 70 coupe, and am working out a few minor kinks. The previous owner managed to bend the metal tab on the hood (driver's side) for the hood latch release. Now the hood won't latch at all, it rests about 1/2 - 3/4" up. I tried a little bending, but didn't get it down much further. Before I snap it off, should this be like an L, or curved (toward front or back)? If I do happen to beak it, where would you suggest for replacements?

Here is a picture of what I think you are looking for. This is the latch off of my 70 from the drivers side. If you need something else let me know and I will try again.

Actually, the piece that is what the bent piece seems to be hitting. It's the other end of the latch mechanism (attatched to the hood itself) that is bent. Not the area that goes over the latch pin, but where that piece with the spring pushes against to operate the latch.
