Can you help me identify this engine???
I was recently given an engine for cleaning out an abandon warehouse. The engine was there and I was told I could have it.
It's a small block V-8 with the rear main seal up on the crank flange so I'm going to say it'e 1986 or later. It has an original GM aluminum intake manifold (GM Part No. 14057053), cast and machined to accept a Quadrojet carb. Except for some appearence details, it is nearly identical to my 1980 L-82 intake.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I don't know if it's a 350 or 305 but I have visions of it being an LT-1 from a police intercepter or something exciting. My luck though, it's probably from an asphault spreading machine or something like that.

According to the green book, this is a 305 from either a 83 full size car, camaro, malibu or monte carlo - 150 hp, 4 barrel carb.
OR is could be an 86 from a camaro or firebird - 165 hp 4 barrel and auto trans.
