After driving around and feeling the floor, I think I may have found the source of the vibration: the exhaust pipes. Behind the central bracket, one side is clearly against the bottom of the vehicle and the other is not much better. There should clearly be much more clearance.
And I don't know about you but, I like my corvettes well hung
How is a 1969 manual's exhaust hung?
(H/T to the source); should the pipes be clamped straight to the hanger with no rubber insulation?
And... the cherry on top is that I just figured out that replacing the worn trans mount probably compounded this. The old rubber was worn flat! Replacing the mount added at least 0.5 inch if not more. Enough to drive the pipes into the bottom of the vehicle. Tomorrow I'll see if I can fab up a spacer to lower it.
