Motor (ZZ4 Crate) is running strong with a new Quickfuel 750 and now I've had her out the clutch is slipping when you hit it hard. I have a Borg Warner 4 speed mated with the ZZ4. Suggestions for a replacement clutch? Won't need to go too top shelf, just like to go a step over OEM stuff. Thanks for guidance.
RAM HDX.....I replaced my OEM clutch with the RAM in 2014 at the time I rebuild/upgraded the OEM L-82 4 speed into a 425+ Gross HP L-82 355 with roller cam, AFR heads, Long Tube headers and 10.2:1 compression.............Works just like the OEM GM clutch..same effort and clutch feel.
SPEC clutches. Made in the USA and great customer service.
I put one behind my ZZ4 (muncie 4 speed) a couple of years ago and it's been great. No chatter or anything.
I did install a SPEC aluminum fly wheel. While it's a great weight savings I don't think I like it better than my iron fly wheel. It's just a totally different "feel" when reving up and letting off but I knew that going in.
I may put my old one back in the next time I need to go in there.
BTW - Be prepared for a bunch of different answers.
