shipping large parts
May be a little off topic. How do you get large items shipped? I am looking at a hardtop but will have to ship it from California to PA. Shipping costs may make the deal not worth it. I am thinking a trucking compnay that handles LTL. UPS will not take it, too big in size :confused:

I am interested as well. I am trying to get a price to ship an exhaust system and UPS says it is to big. But they were the ones who brought it here in the first place. :confused:

Might have to go with something like Roadway or the like. Did you check out http://www.shipgreyhound.com

I've had great luck with Roadway. Good prices and the items have always gotten there without damage. I wouldn't hesitate to call them at all.

Just checked with Roadway. To have the hardtop shipped to my place of business Washington state to PA, $400!!
The http://www.shipgreyhound.com was only around $100, estimated. This doesn't sound like a bad way to go.

Someone else on the forum used Greyhound to ship a hood and had good success, check the archives to find out who it was. Good Luck!

Check FedEx Ground. They handle larger packages than UPS, not to mention that they're faster and cheaper. I may be wrong, but I think they only deliver to business addresses, but there's always a way around that...
