Default Vacuum advance cans

So, I discovered today that the ac advance in my '77 HEI was inoperable.

It was stamped with 517 18

I replaced it with a functional can i had laying around in an old HEI--the can i replaced it with was 624 20.

What are the major differences in the two cans?

i cannot locate any other part number on either, and I am unable to find a part # cross reference...

off hand guess the 18 provides maximum advance at 18" vacuum and the 20 provides maximum advance at 20" vacuum.
