Lemans fuel cap questions

Sorry if this topic has been beaten to death. I will be brief.

The Lemans style cap from Mustalgia and CorvetteMods and others appears to be only a replacement for the fuel cap access door. The actual fuel tank cap is retained.

My question is... does there exist a unit you can buy that replaces the original fuel tank cap? Something that attaches to or replaces the filler neck.

If such a thing existed and it involved removing the fuel tank and such for modding I'm not afraid.

Somewhere on this forum is a thread i think i started talking about this subject, try the search feature,

You need an angled adaptor neck to go from tank to deck and no one sells one that i know of but plans to build your own are in that other thread,

I have one on the way from them. Will post when I get it. He makes the adapter to make it functional.

Awesome thanks. Sounds like he makes an adaptor that allows you to connect a rubber hose to the Lemans cap gizmo. And then I’m guessing it would be a simple matter of connecting the hose to the filler neck of the car.

Is that basicslly the gist?

I installed a bigger filler neck and cap. I wasn't even thinking about emission testing because it removed the unleaded small filler restrictor. So it failed visual check
