Trailing arm pivot bolt removal, any tips?
i have a problem with the trailing arm pivot bolts.
i did a seach can came across these posts.
it's not rust--the bolt turns freely--but more a question of how to remove commpletely the old pivot bolt from the frame pocket and install a new bolt. at the same time i want to change the present shims for
open ended ss shims. the present shims are two holed ones and quite rusty.
there's very very little space to manoeuvre because of the diagonal reinformement part of the frame.
can i remove these pivot bolts with the trailing arms in place or do i have to take apart some or all of the rear suspension?
any ideas how to facilitate the job?
thanks
