Default Muffler relocation

In the never ending struggle to find the perfect exhaust system, great sound & no resonance, consider this. Relocate the mufflers to the area between the two cross members, 40 series flowmasters(delta) should easily fit. They are about the same size, length and thickness, as a cat. then just run a tailpipe out the back. Some say the lack of a tailpipe is what causes the resonance?? The Flowmasters should provide the sound and the tailpipe should eliminate the resonance-what do you think? I chose Flowmaster because the size works.

Ya know I have often thought of using a camaro type Flowmaster (dual in- dual out)muffler on a C3, tucked up between the fuel tank and rear firewall. Well insulated btw.
Fab up some tail pipes and have at it :smash:
Somebody give it a try and post a full report :D

I've had that same thought. I had an 89 IROC with a Flowmaster crossflow muffler on it and it was the best sounding car I've heard in a long time.
