Fuel/starting problem prob
My 78 is difficult to start after sitting for more than a day. Fuel line from pump to carb is empty. So its like starting out of gas. After it starts it is fine until sitting again for a day. Tried putting a backflow valve in-line to no avail. Any thoughts?

It should hold pressure, I have seen some with internal leaks that will drain the line.

I will join you. Same problem with my 78. Tonight I removed the air cleaner and looked down the primary while pulling the throttle. I get a good squirt of gas on the first pull. Second pull gives only a little spray. Try looking at your and see if you have the same. Maybe fuel bowl leaking overnight?
