Need help diagnosing some accessory next issues
My setup is a 496 BBC in my '75 using March Performance 20560 serpentine belt setup. Look like this with a smaller crank pulley for high water flow. Edelbrock 8852 water pump and type 2 PS pump.

Been using this setup for ~5 years now. Was having an issue with the EFI that seemed to be related to low voltage. Old alternator was a 100A Powermaster that was only putting out 12.5V at idle and never got above 13V. On Powermaster's recommendation, I upgraded to a 140A 12SI and kept their pulley rather than the larger March pulley. Also added some larger charging wire and and a ground wire to alternator.
When I was swapping the alternator, noticed a puddle of hydraulic fluid under car. Old PS pump had died. Got new pump from O'Reilly. On startup, the PS pulley almost spun off the shaft and the belt destroyed itself.
So, new belt and new Tuff Stuff PS pump with new March pulley. Made sure that pulleys were all aligned and spaced idler pulley out a bit for alignment.
45 miles on new setup and noticing lots of belt squeak from front of car. Stopped by NAPA for new belt and got home. Noticed that PS pulley had moved forward ~ 1/4" on shaft.

So, realigned PS pulley and added bolt into shaft to secure. Then noticed that water pump was making a "zipper" noise when spun by hand.

So, questions for my CF friends:
1) Water pump zipper noise. Are the bearings going bad? Can't feel any lateral movement in shaft. New water pump?
2) PS pump pulley. What is causing it to move on shaft? I spaced idler pulley out a bit so belt was not riding front edge of idler. Should I move it back to idler pulley is putting a rearward force on belt helping to keep PS pulley on shaft? Is PS pulley shot now that it has moved on shaft?
3) PS pump makes a clicking noise when the pulley is rotated back and forth. Old pump does same thing so I think this is normal but not sure.
Any other ideas would be appreciated. Don't want to have to mod crossmember to mount new pulley system so sticking to this one (probably) for now.
