Hi folks.
So it's finally warm enough to get the 74 Vette out of my garage. Lo and behold, she won't start. Bought a brand new battery and still no go. Nothing, not even a click.
Any ideas?
Try putting the shifter in N if its an automatic? The neutral safety sw may be gone? check the starter, dead spot on the armature, dirty starter connections. Does the horn work or the lights come on? radio wipers anything with the key in the on position?

Everthing works electrically, lights etc. Just no juice to start it. Scratching my head.

Nine times out of ten, its a ground strap / cable, somewhere. Your best bet is to remove the NEG battery cable and clean. Then move on the battery GRD cable at the frame. Another one near the starter to frame, clean both ends with wire brush. Hook up battery, cross your fingers.
