I have several different ones.
1 like sb69's
1 like sb69's but with a 73/74 emblem
1 like sb69's but with 75/76 emblem
and a couple of Redwings "Stanley Cup emblems"
Of course I don't use all of them at one time. The 73/74 is the one thats on the set I use and the rest are on the spare set of keys.
Mine is a clear round plastic one that says "I Love Wayne Newton." Of course, I don't love Wayne Newton, but it was with the keys when I bought it, and it was a one owner car and the woman told me she bought it specifically for the vette when she bought it new. So, I'm afraid if I change it to something else, the vette will get mad and break. I want to keep the vette happy, even if it means getting really strange looks from people when they see the keychain hanging from the ignition.
Flame me if you want, but am I the only one that here that thinks this topic is reaching way down in the barrel?
I don't think so, it is more of a fun topic... kinda got tired of reading about people's squeeking brakes, problems getting X part out because of Y rusted bolt, or the infamous "my carb sux" posts. A little change of pace couldn't hurt once in awhile.
I have one like stingray_76's, except it has a leather thingy behind it. It is what the original keys are on. My (1st set of) spare keys are on a silver keychain with an eagle and Isaiah 40:31 on it. My (spare) spare set of keys are on just a loop.
I'm with you Maco Shark....I don't need a key either. But when I do take it somewhere that I actually have the tops on and need to lock it I have the keychain that came with my cross-flags valve stem caps. It's pretty cool, chrome with cross-flags and it is like a small wrench for the caps. I actually use it for the caps too because I had 2 of them stolen before so now I wrench them down really tight and people can't just twist them off with their bare hands.
Sorry, no pic.
Mine is a grey puter keychain with "The Doors" painted across it in red.
I'm a big Doors fan :)
I see you have more than just good taste in cars my young friend. You must be somewhat of an elephant man amoung you peers driving an old vette and rocking out The Doors! :D
Fevre:
Yep yep, I am the oddity amongst the majority of my peers. Most of my friends are lucky if they can name a song or two of many of my favorite bands (i.e. Zeppelin, The Doors, The Who, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan etc...). So yeah, I get razzed a little :D
The car is running great, it survived one full season of use (I'm surprised it stayed together). It's got about 4,000 + miles on and am getting ready to put her away for winter.
