Default Interior colour difference -74/-75 silver vs. -78 ann. silver

How big is the difference between -74/-75 silver interior and -78 anniversary silver interior? I'm thinking to change the seats and if the -78 silver is close to the original I mght go that way. Other possibility is blue C4 seats... But that's someday, not this winter anyway. Just wanted to know how close the colours are.

I would say there is'nt much difference if any. Been a few years since my '75 was next to a '78PC. You could'nt get "Silver" in a SA, only a Pace Car in '78. :yesnod:

I think you'll find that the 74-75 seats have a slightly "bluer" look to them, and may be a little more shiney.

Also of course, the 78 PC seats are the later design, as in the 79 and later cars.....

Thanks Paul and Stephen!

Paul: Sorry, I mixed up the Ann. and Pace. :jester I knew that, but somehow I wrote it wrong...

Stephen: I want bucket seats, but I also like to keep (somehow) the original touch. PC has buckets and also pretty close interior colour... Anyway it might be that my plans change before I get to that point in my project...

I thought all Corvettes had bucket seats. The colors are real close. I have the 142 code interior on my 75. I replaced the foam and leather covers and not only do they look nice but the setting position and comfort were greatly improved. Might be cheaper than PC seats . :chevy

I don't consider the original seats as bucket seats, with bucket seat I mean a seat which has side support. You might be right, PC seats are possibly pretty rare and expensive...

Do you have any pics of your interior? I have silver leather interior, and I'd like to see some pics about other silver interiors too!
