I've had Cheery bomb Vortec mufflers for about 20 years.
I had flowmaster 40 series or maybe super 40's and couldn't handle the drown on long drives

I would say go to YouTube or something and search for corvette cherry bomb and take a listen to a few. I had a pair on my last 1973 L48 (stock cam, heads, ram horn exhaust manifolds) straight back to the cherry bombs and they were loud at start up (inside garage) and when you got into the throttle. But just idling around town and rolling down the road they sounded pretty good and didn't drone too badly in the cabin. You could still hear the radio and have a conversation.
