on my 71 vert i set the weatherstriping in place made sure everything fit then started in the middle and used 3m black weatherstriping glue. looks like a factory job. no loose ends or sags nothing looks like it came that way. i tend to be **** about my 71 it has to be perfect and this was one of the things i was worried about. turned out great.. i took all day to do it but it was worth it. this is not a place to rush. robert

Thanks.
Do you know where I could get the bolts that connect the convertible frame to the car's body? I can't find them. I think it's 2 on each side.

Think I could just use something from Home Depot?

If it's the 4 bolts that mount the frame to the body, mine are standard 3/8 bolts. Never really thought about what's correct....

Don't think the "factory" used WS glue. They used black "caulk" sealer. Some people call it "dum-dum" caulk. You can buy it at just about any part store. 3M makes it. Comes in "ropes". Use the caulk under the WS. Then secure it with the little bolts/screws/washers/nuts. Chuck

On the convertible top - I didn't use glue at all.... The only wheatherstrips that I glues were the door main and the deck weatherstrip...
