Default My Straub cammed 468

Just want to tell you all about my 468 build.
I have completed break in and finally really hammered it for the first time all the way to 6000rpm.
All i can say is..WOW!! the way it pulls is amazing!
Cam is Straubs roller, 229/241@.050, .620/.580, LSA 109, and i have Sniper EFI to go along with it.
When i switched from Qjet carb to EFI the improvement was HUGE!!
So happy with this monster.

Nice to hear. I'm still building mine but can't wait to see what it will do.

Nice ride! Straub is a great guy to deal with. He nails his cam choices!

No, sorry, you can google it, there are some with the cam i got.
Idle is a bit lumpy but nothing extreme.
Its designed to perform and not for showoff with lumpy idle.
With Sniper EFI i get 16mpg highway 65mph, 3,08 rearend and auto trans, wich i think is very good for a 468.
Driveability is awesome with tons of torque and plenty Hp all the way to 6500rpm.

Yea, i have watch most of those. They are a lot of Chevelle videos. Was just wondering more like the sound in a vette. I have the 229/229 Straub cam, but it will be another month or two before I get the start the engine.
