Hey lighten up on the member, anyone from Langley can't be half bad, I used to live in Abbotsford and Kelowna. I have always wondered what lights would look like at night in the gills on the side.

now you got me wondering...think i might throw a few flashlights in there one night.....i would however seriously consider the ignitor at the tip of the pipes for some serious flame action out the exhaust....

A quick look at his profile reveals the following -

"battsup is 16 years of age."

Perhaps this partially explains his question?

battsup, resist any and all urges to rice this (or any other) car. In the not-so-distant future you will be glad you didn't.

That was a pretty stupid thing to post. i got my vette when i was 16. im 19 now. i like alot of the souped up imports. but lights and air-bags arent nearly rice. airbag come stock on navigators and escalades (sp) so you can call that american. lights have been arround for decades and are often put on hotrods. i cant tell you how many 32 roadsters and 5-window coupes ive seen with not only the underbody kit, but the whole car done in neon.

i say, if you dont like what hes asking press back. if you can help him out, do so. weather or not you like what he is going to do to HIS vette. might as well have him do it right, so it isnt ricey.

i agree. it's his car let him do what he wants. if you can help him great if not leave him alone. most of the tar top batt guys hate anything thats not ori gm. he wants air shocks to raise the car over bumps, shows he is thinking and doesn't want to destroy his undercarrage. no telling what kind of roads he lives on he may need this to save the car. as far as lights thats a personal choice. if he likes em i love em its his car, his money, we should help him so he doesn't hook them up wrong and melt the car down. he is 16 keep that in mind, what he thinks is cool is not what the average 40 year old would agree with. keep posting kid, there are a lot of great people here and the answer to almost anyproblem can be found on this board. there is a wealth of information to help you ava here. don't take it to heart, injest the good info flush the rest. robert

Hey...don't stereotype all young people as ricers with bad taste. Just because you like your car how it is it doesn't mean the younger generation likes it the same. Look at what type of clothes you wear compared to kids. It seriously offends me when people say comments like "he is 16, that must explain it" or "Youth is wasted on the young" even if it is joke. I think most of the people just like to jump on the "I-Hate-RICERS" bandwagon. Who cares if he wants underbody lights....if done right it could look very good IMO. Don't start dissing him just because of that. I'm 16 and I agree that a lot of people do stupid things to their imports but I also respect the people that do it and do a good job with it.

"Look at what type of clothes you wear compared to kids."

Yeah, c'mon you old fogies...stop messing with the kids. Just because they like to walk around with their baseball caps cocked sideways, and wearing their father's pants hanging down so their buttcrack shows,
and coloring their hair purple and green, and piercing their body parts with whatever trinket they can get their hands on, doesn't mean they aren't going to be perfectly normal functioning members of society.

Dep...age 53... Member of the Old Geezer Vette Owner's Assn., WOULD NEVER install underbody lights or air shocks on ANY Vette.
If you want lights under the car get a droplight from the hardware store and thorw it under there while you do an oil change. If you want to go over speed bumps without damaging you car...DON'T SPEED!!!!!
