Fuel Tank Sending Unit
I got the 78 out on the road in a serious way today taking in a car show and testing my handywork with the heater core replacement and caliper rebuild.
In the road...low fuel light came on while gauge showed 1/2 full! I concluded the sending unit is gone. It has been "sticking" for about five years (at 1/2 way) but today...it just remained "stuck" without any movement whatsoever.
Questions are:
Why are sending units so expensive (for 78)?
Who has done one on a 78-81?
Looks straight forward...am I missing anything?
