which oil do you use
don't know how to do the poll thing so what do you use: Quaker State, Penzoil, Castrol, Havoline, Valvoline, Kendall or ? By the way K-Mart has Penzoil for .99 on sale. :cheers:

I use castrol gtx or valvoline . I think that for long engine life under hard
conditions that the most important thing is how often the oil is changed.
I change mine every 2500 miles , but I am very hard on my motor and I
like to play near redline.

I use Castrol Synthetic blend in my daily driver and have used Castrol in all my vehicles for quite a while with not a single engine problem ever. I will be using Castrol in the vette when it is done too.

I use Castrol GTX 10W-30. I thought about switching to a synthetic blend, but people told me it would make my engine leak (worse :lol:). 5 quarts go in and 3,000 miles later 4 quarts come out. :crazy:

There has been ALLOT of posts on just this subject and the hipe over oil brands is BS.. I use just about any 10w-40 that is on sale however, I do use the best filter I can get my hands on like Mobil 1 if I can find it. If you change your oil every 3,000 miles, the brand of oil you use is not important. I have been doing this for years and NEVER had problems, my every day cars last for close to 200,000 miles!! :yesnod:

In my '98...Mobil 1... 'cause that's what it recommends.
In my '72...Mobil 1... 'cause it works so good in my '98
